Two teams. One bid to make.
Four ways to stand out.
Pitch rules.
4-Point: High, Low, Jack and Game

10-Point: some scoring trumps

These cards illustrate scoring, not strength order. The trump Three is worth 3 points in 10-Point Pitch.
Four players, two teams
Your partner sits opposite you. In 4-Point, a 52-card deck gives each player six cards. In 10-Point, two jokers join the deck.
Bid and choose trump
Bid 2–4 or 5–10 depending on the variant, or pass. The highest bidder chooses trump. If everyone passes, the dealer takes the minimum bid.
Collect the points
In 4-Point, High rewards capturing the highest trump; Low belongs to the lowest trump’s holder; Jack rewards capturing the trump Jack; Game rewards the higher captured card-value total. In 10-Point, trump Ace, Jack, Off-Jack, each joker, Ten and Two score 1 each; Three scores 3. The Off-Jack is the other jack of the same color. Low stays with the Two’s holder.
Play and make your contract
In 4-Point, follow suit or trump; without the led suit, play any card. In 10-Point, only trumps are played after drawing to six cards. A failed contract subtracts your bid. The target is 11 in 4-Point. In 10-Point, reach 32 and bid and make the contract to win.
Our 10-Point draw retains scoring trumps; excess scoring trumps are credited to their team. Local variants can differ.
