The Jack of the same colour as trump belongs to the trump suit for this hand.
A compact deck
Two teams of two use 24 cards, from 9 to Ace. Each player receives five cards.
The two master Jacks
The Jack of trump is strongest. The Jack of the other suit of the same colour also becomes trump and ranks second.
Win three tricks
The team that calls trump must win at least three of five tricks. A player may go alone, with their partner sitting out the hand.
