LEARN WITH THE REAL CARDS
Spades rules.
Spades are always trump.

Within a suit, the highest card wins. A spade trumps another suit when you cannot follow suit.
Bid the tricks
Four players play in two teams with 52 cards. Each bids the number of tricks they expect to win.
Spades are always trump
Follow suit if possible. Otherwise, a spade can trump. Leading spades is normally restricted until spades have been broken.
Make your bid
The team aims to make its bid. Extra tricks become bags and may lead to a penalty. A Nil bid targets zero tricks and carries its own risk.
This guide covers the basics. Variants and table settings may change some rules.
