Avoid points
Four players use 52 cards. Each heart is worth one penalty point and the Queen of Spades is worth thirteen.
Pass, then play
Depending on the round, cards are passed before the first trick. Follow suit whenever you can.
Shoot the moon
Taking every heart and the Queen of Spades can turn the score around: this is called shooting the moon. Otherwise, aim for the lowest score.
